Join Mayor Mike. Join the Lutz Kids Parade. Join Susan Barlow on tour of Cheney Mills Historical District. Join Mike Reilly on Mountain Bike ride. See the Ebony Horsewomen. Bike the 18 or 30 mile routes. Or, be pedaled around Charter Oak Park by rickshaw. Saturday, October 1 at 9:30. Oh yes, it’s FREE!

East Hartford Mayor Mike Walsh to be at Charter Oak Park for opening remarks at 10am. He will then bike the first leg of the 30 mile route to Cabela's at Rentschler Field for a meet and greet. He will share news about the Silver Lane corridor renewal and the plans to complete the Charter Oak trail through East Hartford. Enjoy the entire route through Vernon, Bolton and back to COP.

How can you not be there? Too expensive? It’s free. Too long a route? 17miles. Too short? 30 miles. Too flat? Mountain bike route. I like walking. Great, join Susan Barlow. I’m a kid. Then join the Lutz Kid’s Bike, Walk, Pull animal parade. How about Rickshaw, golf cart and horses.Something for everyone.

Saturday, October 1 at Charter Oak Park. 17 and 28 mile bike routes, mountain bike route, equestrian section, hike up to Highland Park and, for the first time, a Kid’s Costume Bike Parade in collaboration with the Lutz Children’s’ Museum. Animals, prizes, ice cream.
