Okay, my major post for the 2026 Uechi Convention.

A thank you to everyone who helped in making this such a tremendous success: our awesome host of presenters, the dojo Owners and Seniors, the 2026 Black Belt Graduates (Congratulations), George Mattson, Buzz Durkin and countless others.

But this post is especially for the unsung group of talented, hardworking members of the Uechiryu Butokukai Facilitators Guild. These young—and young-at-heart—men and women make an event of this magnitude run smoothly. They take every major last-minute change and adjustment in stride, with grace and a positive attitude.

The way you show up for this convention—and for each other—speaks louder than words ever could. (Honestly, the attached photo doesn't even have everyone)

It is truly an honor to work with you!
