Imagine someone digging it up 100 years from now and getting a little glimpse of what life in Franklin County was like in 2026.

What would you put inside?

Maybe a faded concert ticket, a blue ribbon from the show barn, an old fair photograph, or something that represents our North Country traditions.

It's that time of the year again!!! Halloween is just around the corner and on Halloween night your invited back to the fairgrounds for the 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat event. All the kids, big and small, young or old, can walk around and get their bag stiffed with candy from all of the local businesses and organization that help support this each year. That's Saturday, October 31 from 5 PM - 7 PM

Attention Woodcarvers and woodcarving enthusiasts the 4th Annual Woodcarvers Weekend is scheduled for Saturday September 11th and Sunday September 12th, 2027. Another weekend packed with woodcarvers, vendors with all types of goods, food vendors and an action packed day of garden tractor pulls and a lawn tractor demolition. Mark your calendars you won't want to miss this weekend

If you have made arrangements to bring your camper, boat or vehicle into the fairgrounds to store for the winter, and no one is there when you arrive please do us both a favor and put your name on the unit somewhere visible or on the tongue of the trailer where we can see who it belongs to. This will make it easier for us to know which building it goes in and whose unit it is

🌕🌾 Look up, Franklin County!

Tomorrow night, September 26, brings us the Harvest Moon, the full moon closest to the fall equinox. It earned its name because its bright evening light traditionally gave farmers a little extra time to bring in the harvest.

There’s something pretty special about a bright full moon over the fields, farms, and changing leaves of the North Country. 🍂🚜
