Update on the great support for this years Malinta Festival. For financial gifts we thank Henry County Senior Center; Austy’s Trucking; Gerald Grain Center Inc.; The Gerken Companies; and Holgate Lumber Company. For auction items-a bullet from Vince's TV & Appliances, Holgate; water from Culligan, Napoleon; Mini-Keurig from a local resident. (You too can donate an item for the auction-just send me a message-we’re 501-C-3). Our primary sponsors are Bretts Towing Napoleon and Wauseon Ohio; Civista Bank and Gilson Screen Incorporated.

You ask - What does Malinta Fest do with all their money? Why should I come and support their event? During the past year Malinta Fest has given back to the community for these projects:

$5,000 to support the local Monroe Township Fire Dept.
$7100 for the safety lights you see entering town
$600 for a new park sidewalk to the picnic tables
Supported PH Music program and this year's Easter egg hunt
$3000 toward new Christmas lights for town
$1000 toward new Ballfield supplies
$1000 for brackets to hold Christmas lights for storage
$2,950 for a new snow blower for town sidewalks
$1,619 toward a fuel pump (we love our custodian!)
$1000 yearly to Monroe Township seniors in form of book scholarships to those who apply.

So, when you support the Malinta Festival you support your town.

What a great way to start our donations for this years Auction at the Malinta Festival. Thank you so much to Cindy Cline for sharing her talent. It’s a beautiful Ohio State Sampler quilt. 77x87. Took 151 hours to make. Such detail!! Get ready to bid!!!

Monroe township Seniors!!! Get your applications in for the Book Scholarships being offered by the Malinta Fest!! Your Guidance Counselor at school has information or here is the information below. Great news!! The activities for this year’s event is in place!! (Check out flyers)

To kick off we’re having a bingo starting at 930!! We’re also having a tractor show -so if you have a sweet tractor bring and show off!! New outfit for bounce house area thanks to Jaggis Boynce House. Cabin Creek Mules will be back along with Tony Huener’s barrel rides. Matt Richardson will be this years entertainment and of course the Monroe Township Firemen will be serving up their delicious bbq chicken and brats. the Town out of Wauseon will also be there. The Caboose and Pohlman barn will also be open. ……and much more!!
