There are growing concerns in Wichita and surrounding areas about illegal street racing. The American Association of Safety Council statistics show that the majority of street race participants and spectators are between the ages of 18-40. Illegal street racing provides an unsupervised environment for people that are too young for bars to
socialize with friends and peers, to show off cars, and to experience the exhilaration of speed without safety or limits. These illegal gatherings also put our youth at risk for injury from vehicle crashes, fights, underage drinking, propositions from drug dealers, and being apprehended by law enforcement officers. This often results in blemishes on their records, high fees for traffic citations and vehicle impoundment. The Wichita Police Department has been struggling to curtail this dangerous and increasingly popular activity for several years. Due to advanced technology (cell phones, lap tops, text messaging, etc.), racing locations can be easily moved. Many times, when the police locate an illegal race, the large numbers of spectators make apprehension difficult. My goal with Wichita Street Fights, is to ensure that every racer and spectator can participate with the peace of mind that he/she is in a safe environment. Illegal street racing has become a growing cause for concern because it can lead to accidents, major trauma, driving intoxicated, disabilities, and even death. My goal is to have organized race events for all ages to come out to Kansas International Dragway to get the illegal racing off the streets of Wichita by bringing it to the track. Wichita Street Fights, in partnership with Kansas International Dragway, offers an alternative street racing solution. We offer organized racing on a professional racetrack with all the necessary safety features for spectators as well as drivers. However, let me assure you that this will be in an environment that proper measures will take place to ensure the safety of everyone involved. When you look at what we offer, a fun, safe, environment on a professional racetrack, then the illegal street racing doesn't look so appealing. So help us get illegal street racing off our streets! As a sponsor, your business information will be placed on a flyer that we distribute around the Wichita area prior to each race. In addition, your business will also be announced approximately every 30 minutes during the race as a sponsor. We distribute over 8,000 flyers to businesses, schools (your future clients), local car shows, and other special events in the area. All sponsors are also posted on our Wichita Street Fights Facebook. This year, we are attempting to set up advertisement on four different radio stations in Wichita and surrounding areas, along with at least one television commercial! We are giving all sponsors the opportunity to have a class or the entire race named after your company or business. We appreciate all of your support and sponsorship!!! Race events offer

We would greatly appreciate a banner representing your company to post at Kansas International Dragway. You can set up a company booth at any of these race events with notice. Furthermore, any advertisement materials, such as, handouts, pins, posters, etc. are welcomed and appreciated. They will be distributed at Wichita Street Fights 2012 races in a professional manner. This will not only increase the number of participants at these events, but they are also a great promotional tool. Wichita Street Fights 2014 Rules
General Rules
• All Cars, Bikes, and Safety Equipment must meet 2014 NHRA Rule Book specifications.
• No refunds on Racer Entry, if breakage occurs on Cars and Bikes.
• Cars and Bikes can compete in multiple classes
• No buybacks in the King of the Street Classes.
• No deep staging during competition!
• All Racers must wear pants!
• No re-runs all calls by staff and timing system are final
• If you have any issues you must speak Anthony or Amanda Dockens. If you have any problems with payouts speak with Amanda Dockens we are only paying out 1st and 2nd place. Dragsters will be paid to 3rd place.
• ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON!!!! King of the Street Car Class Rules
• Must be a street legal car. Registration, Tags and Insurance We will be checking!
• King of the Street Entry fee $60 day of event
• “Instant Green light” (No Deep Staging).
• Any D.O.T. Stamp Approved Tire Including ET Streets and Quick Time Pro’s from Hoosier are allowed.
• Driver and passenger windows must be operational.
• Must have some sort of mufflers, operational headlights, tail lights & turn signals. Turbo Cars exclude the muffler rule
• No Wheelie Bars allowed.
• All racers required to make at least one qualifying pass. King Of The Street Bike Rules

• Must choose your Index before eliminations begin if you change your class after you will be disqualified!

• These classes will not be combined this event
• Running below the Index during eliminations results in an automatic DQ.
• Buy backs first round only $15
• Any combinations allowed at any weight.
• Any devices which apply to the electronic timing keyed to the Christmas tree lighting system itself that are not connected by relay or otherwise so as to automatically activated any devices on the car necessary to place the car in motion at the start of the race are PROHIBITED!!!!
• Buy run first round will be random all rounds after will be best winning reaction time.
• If double breakout – car breaking out the least wins.
• Lane choice goes to the car in front until money then we will flip for lane choice. Bike Bracket Class

Jr. Dragsters
• Class is open for children 8 to 17
• The only class that children under the age of sixteen can compete in.
• Buybacks will be available 1st round only $10
• Juniors are a 1/8th mile dial and is a bracket race Regular Bracket Tree
• Juniors cannot change their dial in once they are in the water-box.
