The Maitland Rotary Art Festival will not be held in 2025. For nearly 50 years, the Maitland Rotary Art Festival and the Rotary Club of Maitland has been fortunate to have so many supporters, including local elected officials, community partners, artists, and individuals and families who have created memories at our Art Festival. We hear your words of support and encouragement and thank you for the positivity. It’s been so heartwarming for us to read your comments and understand how this Festival brings together our community and has made an impact.
The difficult decision to pause the 49th Annual Art Festival this year was made with consideration to everyone involved, including our artists and the many Rotarians who contributed hundreds of volunteer hours, making the festival a huge success for many years. Through strategic planning sessions earlier this year, it was determined our Rotary Club, composed of volunteers, did not have the capacity contribute the 1,000+hours it takes to properly accomplish planning the Art Festival. Unfortunately, we are not alone- other local Art Festivals are dealing with similar challenges. The Art Festival Board and Club Leadership will work to explore all options to find a solution for the future- and in the meantime, we are excited to continue our mission to raise important funds, and we’d love for our community to continue to support us through this phase. Stay tuned for more details!
Rotary Clubs, including the Rotary Club of Maitland, are membership-based, volunteer civic organizations who actively support our community in both philanthropy and volunteerism. Our Club is comprised of local business leaders, community volunteers, and people who care deeply about making a difference. Last year alone we distributed $44,000 to 26 nonprofits and held service projects where we were able to feed hundreds of veterans, individuals with disabilities and individuals and families facing poverty. We are still going to do good in our community
