At the 2024 Central Florida Juneteenth Gala, we were honored to welcome State Attorney Monique Worrell as our keynote speaker.

Monique faced significant adversity when Florida’s governor removed her from the very position the people had elected her to serve. But instead of backing down, she stood firm, fought forward, and continued advocating for justice and her community.

Her resilience, courage, and leadership remind us what strength truly looks like. Monique Worrell represents the spirit of perseverance and the power of standing up for what’s right.

This is Clip 3 of 6 from the 2024 Central Florida Juneteenth Gala.

🖤 HONORING A LEGACY — EDWARD “EDDIE” COLE 🖤

As we celebrate Juneteenth — a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, and community — we also pause to remember and honor a man who embodied those very principles in Central Florida: Edward “Eddie” Cole.

Eddie Cole was more than a former mayor of Eatonville — the oldest incorporated Black town in the United States — he was a servant leader whose heart beat for his community. From 2016 to 2022, he guided Eatonville with compassion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to progress and preservation. His life was a testament to service — both in public office and through his work with youth and sports.

Cole’s influence reached beyond local government. For over three decades he served as an assistant coach for the women’s basketball team at Rollins College, helping shape young athletes on and off the court. He also served as team chaplain for the Orlando Magic and spent years supporting youth through Every Kid Outreach, Inc., touching countless lives with purpose and compassion.

🕊️ This year’s Central Florida Juneteenth Celebration & Gala will include a special tribute to Eddie Cole — honoring his life, legacy, and impact on generations past, present, and future.

Join us in celebrating a man who believed in community, leadership, and the promise of tomorrow. Let us carry forward his spirit of service as we honor freedom, heritage, and unity. 🌟

Eddie Cole contributed to our celebrations in many ways- and we appreciate him for every offering of time and energy.

5:45 AM.
Before the noise. Before the excuses. Before the world starts asking for pieces of you.

This hour is quiet on purpose.
It’s where clarity shows up.
It’s where discipline stretches.
It’s where dreams stop being ideas and start becoming plans.

You don’t need motivation right now.
You need momentum.
Even if it’s small. Even if it’s messy. Even if it’s just showing up.

If you’re awake this early, salute yourself.
If you’re not, save this for when you are.

Let today be intentional.
Let today be productive.
Let today move you closer — not just busier.

If you see this, say it back so the energy circulates:

GOOD MORNING ☀️
