🇺🇸 25 YEARS LATER — WE REMEMBER.
Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced a day that changed us forever.
September 11, 2001 took nearly 3,000 lives, shattered countless families, and left wounds that are still carried today. But in the middle of unimaginable tragedy, America also witnessed extraordinary courage.
First responders ran toward danger.
Strangers helped strangers.
Communities came together.
And for a moment, we weren’t divided by our differences — we were simply Americans.
Today, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Backing The Brave TX remembers every life taken too soon. We honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, dispatchers, medical professionals, military members, volunteers, and ordinary citizens who answered the call.
We remember those who survived but carried the physical and invisible wounds home with them.
We remember the families who have lived every day since with an empty seat at the table.
And we remember the men and women who raised their right hand in the days, months, and years that followed and went to war because of what happened that morning.
25 years have passed. Our responsibility to remember has not.
🇺🇸 Tomorrow, we invite you to join us at our 3rd Annual Fall Festival as we take a special moment together as a community to remember September 11th.
During the festival, we will pause for a moment of silence followed by a memorial song honoring the lives lost, the first responders and heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the families whose lives were forever changed.
There won’t be anything elaborate. Just a few moments where the music, the activities, and the busyness of the day stop — and we stand together.
Because 25 years later, their lives, their courage, and their sacrifice deserve to be remembered.
We hope you’ll stand alongside us tomorrow — not only as neighbors, veterans, military families, first responders, and supporters, but as one community — to remember, honor, and reflect.
May we never forget the lives.
May we never forget the heroes.
May we never forget the sacrifice.
And may we never forget what it felt like when an entire nation stood together.
