Tonight, the Hopkins County Fair was proud to host the first stop of the “You Make THE Difference” Kentucky Tour with Ian Hill — and what an incredible evening it was.

Board members, volunteers, sponsors, elected officials, and community leaders came together with one common goal: keeping our county fair tradition strong for generations to come. Ian shared valuable insight, resources, and statistics focused on volunteer recruitment, leadership development, financial sustainability, and strengthening rural communities through county fairs.

County fairs are more than events — they are the heartbeat of rural America. We are incredibly thankful to the Kentucky County Fairs for providing this opportunity and investing in the future of local fairs across Kentucky.

We are one week away from the Let’s Make a Difference Tour, coming to the Ballard Convention Center on Monday, May 18.

Join us beginning at 5:00 PM for refreshments, with the program running from 5:30 to approximately 8:00 PM.

This session will cover proven strategies to help organizations raise funds, recruit and retain volunteers, and maintain strong, energized leadership.

While the content is centered around county fairs, the information is valuable for exhibition organizers, volunteers, community leaders, and civic clubs alike.

We encourage you to share this opportunity with anyone involved in a civic or service organization. All community leaders are welcome to attend.

A fresh place to sit, relax, and enjoy the fair!

The Kentucky County Fairs Association has been awarded a grant from Fairs.com to host the “You Make The Difference” Tour across Kentucky—and we’re excited to welcome the first stop right here on Monday, May 18th!

Thank you, Madisonville North Hopkins FFA, for building the new picnic tables for the fair! They look great and will be enjoyed by many.

These tables were donated by local businesses and built by our talented students-just another example of how amazing our community is.

Calling all food vendors! The Hopkins County Fair is now taking applications for 2026!

Submit your application online by March 27 at hopkinscountyfair.com. Submissions will be reviewed and vendors will be notified by March 31.

This year, we’re rolling out a brand-new food vendor layout! The U-shaped setup is designed to give your booth more visibility—check it out in the comments.
