This weekend, the WYSO Center for Music welcomed arts leaders from across Wisconsin for the Association of Wisconsin Symphony Orchestras (AWSO) 2026 Annual Spring Workshop. Hosted in partnership with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and Madison Symphony Orchestra, the event brought together nonprofit leaders, musicians, board members, educators, and advocates for two days of discussion and connection.

From keynote conversations and breakout sessions to roundtable discussions and networking opportunities, every space in the WYSO Center was activated by people sharing ideas and building relationships that will strengthen arts organizations across Wisconsin.

One of our favorite parts of hosting events is watching a room fill with energy and curiosity. and this weekend was a wonderful example of exactly that.

Thank you to AWSO and all who attended. We loved welcoming you to the WYSO Center.

The Madison Makers Mother’s Day Market is taking over our space, bringing together 60+ local artists, makers, and small businesses for an afternoon that feels a little more human than your typical weekend plans.

Whether you're shopping, browsing, or just looking for a reason to spend time together, this is one of those events where you can slow down and actually enjoy being out in the city.
