Christmas festivities continue this weekend with two special events at the Madison Square Center for the Arts.

The Saturday event features the Madison Central Madrigals, MRA Performing Arts, and St. Joseph Catholic School Spirit Steppers. The students will combine efforts to present “A Charlie Brown Christmas” with performances at 6:00 and 7:00 pm.

On Sunday, December 14, Santa and Mrs. Claus will host “Christmas with the Clauses” at 2:00 pm. Children will enjoy decorating ornaments, story time with Mrs. Claus, Christmas cookies, and a special treat from Santa himself.

Admission to all events is $10 per person. Tickets are available online at madisonthecity.com/residents/center-for-the-arts-events/ or you may pay by cash or check at the Welcome Center, 2023 Main Street, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, or at the door prior to the event.

The Madison Square Center for the Arts is located at 2103 Main Street.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Madison the City! Christmas festivities continue this weekend with two special events at the Madison Square Center for the Arts.

Tonight!

TONIGHT!!!!!!
COME VISIT WITH SANTA AND ENJOY PIZZA AND "SNOW BUDDIES" MOVIE!

Since the rain is expected to linger into the evening, we will not have our Tree Lighting Ceremony. But don't let the rain keep you from family fun! Starting at 4:30 pm, Santa will be in the Madison Square Center for the Arts, 2103 Main Street, to visit with children, and he loves to pose for photos with them! At 5:30 pm, we will serve pizza and show the Disney movie "Snow Buddies." We will have chairs available, but children are welcome to bring their favorite blanket if they prefer to cuddle up on the floor. There is no charge for any of these events. Come see if the adorable talking puppies win the race across Alaska!

Thank you to the volunteers who accepted the honor of being the newly created Friends of the Madison Square Center for the Arts. They will be the face of the Arts Center at events as they welcome guests. They will also assist in setting up, decorating, and spreading the word for events at this historic facility that continues to be alive with performing arts. Attending the Informational Meeting were: Cheryl Offutt, Alice Crocker, Ramona Hill, Jane Bryan, Kim Mitchell, Board Member Edith Mitchell, Mark Heusel, Kathy Keeton, Jan Heusel, Marilyn Eubank, Beth Shows, Doris Brumfield, Beverly Walker, and Board Member Lois Cooper. We look forward to tapping into their talents in preparing for our upcoming events, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 pm on December 13 and "Christmas with the Clauses" at 2:00 pm on December 14.
