Happy September!
The 3rd Annual Children's Charitable Golf Outing is happening on September 22 at The Oaks Golf Course!
We aim to raise funds for our local Dane county programs focusing on children's well-being.
We have raised funds for several great programs, First Tee of SCW, and Family Service Madison's day program for the youth, Steps to Success.
This year we are benefiting REACH-A-Child. This Non-Profit works with First Responders across Wisconsin. Their efforts involve creating REACH BAGs.
The REACH BAG Program: REACH-a-Child supplies first responder stations all over Wisconsin. These bags allow each squad or emergency vehicle to be equipped with a REACH BAG containing 15 books and 15 drawstring backpacks. When First Responders encounter a child in crisis, they offer the child a book which the child gets to keep. The First Responder also gives the child a drawstring backpack to put the book in – and anything else the child might have to keep with them. This program also includes one annual swap of books for each child that gets a bag.
This program takes time and money. REACH-a-Child does not sell books or BAGs; they purely rely upon sponsors to support their program since local departments cannot include these costs in their budgets.
We are beyond excited to be helping raise funds for REACH-a-Child this year!
With that, we are still looking for foursomes and sponsors for the upcoming event! We would be honored if you would put together a foursome or two and/or sponsor. I understand it is late in the year for budgeting purposes, so if you cannot sponsor in any way – we would also greatly appreciate anything we could use for our raffle drawing at the event.
