Mad City Open

09/21/2026

Mad City Open 2026 year 2 for Birdiehouse was a great success! We had an almost full tournament with players playing 3 of Madison's disc golf courses. We planned a player party with pizza, b**r, root b**r floats, popcorn and music. We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

We had some amazing people volunteer their time over the weekend. We cannot thank them enough, without them it could not have happened. Between course directing, picking up b**rs and root b**r, setting up, break down, creating putting challenge course, handing out player packs, and all the little things that add to many tasks, we had our hands full.

To our course directors John Roundhouse Luetzow, Daniel Hergenroether CG and Jayson Blake, thank you for keeping tournament play smooth and overseeing things at Hiestand and Elver! You guys rock!

To our tournament central VIP Eric Meisegeier, there aren't words to describe how thankful we both are for all the time, energy, and sweat you gave for Mad City Open and us. You really came through and made all our MCO plans a reality. Thank you to Christopher Scott for helping at tournament central and getting payouts counted out. A huge shout out to Damir for picking up our pizza on Sunday after the delivering mixup that left our pizzas stranded in Sun Prairie.

Thanks to all our sponsors big and small, it all adds up! With those funds we can provide great player packs along with good payouts, free pizza, b**r, root b**r floats, and snacks, added cash above the required amount, and all the various tournament supplies.

Of course we want to thank all of the players! We appreciate your support and belief that Mad City Open would be worth your time and money. We hope you all had a great time playing, relaxing at the player party and enjoyed your player packs and winnings.

See you next year!
