We all know inflation is real but this one hits hard.

When we started Cranksgiving Madison back in 2017, it cost about $30–$40 to fill a Thanksgiving basket for the Goodman Community Center.

This year? $80–$100. Absolutely wild.

And yet… you all still showed up.

Huge thank you to everyone who participated , the 230-ish riders who rolled out with us and everyone who completed their ride on their own.

Your generosity keeps this tradition alive and makes a real impact for families in our community.

MADISON, (WKOW) — Cyclists gathered on Sunday for the annual Cranksgiving event, riding from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect food and supplies for local families in need.

What an incredible day to be part of such an amazing community! Cranksgiving 2024 was filled with gratitude, joy, and the simple yet powerful act of helping others.

We’re so thankful for everyone who showed up with full hearts, ready to ride and make a difference for Dane County families. It’s moments like this that remind us of how lucky we are to have this community of friends and neighbors. Your generosity is a gift that ripples far beyond today, making an impact for those who need it most.

And can we talk about freudenfreude—the joy of seeing others succeed and be happy! That’s what this day was all about. Watching everyone work together, laugh, and share in the excitement of giving back was so inspiring. It’s a reminder of how connected we all are and how much good we can do when we come together.

Thank you for the smiles, the hard work, and the friendship. We’re already looking forward to next year—until then, let’s keep spreading that Cranksgiving spirit everywhere we go!
