Covid 19 Update (April 17, 2020)
Lilac 10K Run and Walk Cancelled!
This week, we made the difficult decision to cancel the Lilac 10K Run and Walk on Mackinac Island. We believe this decision is the best way to protect our participants, our volunteers, Mackinac Island residents and visitors during this very uncertain time when social distancing is so vitally important.

All current Lilac 10K registrants should have received an email offering them the choice of deferral, refund or a credit for future race. I you are a registrant and did not see the email, please contact us at [email protected]

We understand this is likely a disappointment to you, as it is to us, but we are also confident you will understand and share our commitment to protect the safety and health of our participants and our community.

Thank you for your understanding during this very challenging time. We are all navigating through a process unfamiliar to us, but we're confident we will all come through this stronger and hopefully more fit, ready to enjoy the future At this time, we are optimistically looking forward to our Fall events which remain scheduled as planned. We hope to see you at a future Mackinac Island race and until then, stay safe and be healthy!

IMPORTANT UPDATE!

Mackinac Island Fort2Fort Challenge postponed to Saturday, October 3, 2020

In accordance with the recent CDC Covid-19 guidelines (which recommend events consisting of 50 people or more be cancelled or postponed for the next 8 weeks), Mackinac Island Historic Parks and RunMackinac Events have jointly decided to postpone the Mackinac Island Fort2Fort Challenge until Saturday, October 3, 2020. All other details of the race will remain the same - go to the race website for information.

If you are already registered, we hope you can make the October 3rd event, but don't worry if you can't, you will be contacted via email with all your options, including a refund.
If you have not already registered, we hope you can join us in the Fall, it's a beautiful time on Mackinac Island! Use coupon code F2FOctober to save $5 OFF your entry until the end of the month (expires midnight March 31, 2020).

All other RunMackinac events - Lilac 10K {6/6/20}, Mackinac Eight Mile {9/12/20}, Great Turtle Half Marathon {10/24/20} - are currently planned to be held on their scheduled dates. We continue to monitor the Covid-19 pandemic and the CDC guidelines, and can assure you the health and safety of our participants, their family members and our volunteers remain our primary concern. We will alert you immediately if there are any future changes.

Many thanks to all the runners and walkers who joined us this year on a beautiful day for the Great Turtle Race! We appreciate your involvement and your understanding as we faced new challenges this year!
Many, many thanks to the students, teachers, parents and volunteers at the Mackinac Island Public school for all their help on the course and aid stations! Their involvement is vital to the race and we are so happy to help fund their Booster program! Kudos also to the Mackinac Historic Parks Commission and staff, the city of Mackinac Island, it's Firefighters and Police, the Mackinac Island Ambulance Service and Medical Center, plus our family of volunteers! We look forward to our 25th race on October 24, 2020!
