There has been some controversy and confusion about the winning T-shirt design for the Machias Wild Blueberry Festival. We asked our artist for her original sketch, which I have included in this post along with the finished product. She did tell us that she used AI to enhance her sketch, which we allowed as stated in our application. This should end this discussion. I thank those who brought this to our attention. The rules will change for next year as a result of this controversy, and no AI images will be allowed. I also hope that all the artists who brought this to our attention will submit their original artwork for next years festival. So again, thank you to Patty Kay for this design and thank you for your donation of your prize money to the Machias Veterans Home. We excited to put this on this year’s T-shirt.

The new Machias Wild Blueberry Festival 50th Anniversary T-Shirt design is here! It's timeless and celebrates what makes Down East Maine so incredibly special. Congratulations to Patricia Kay of Augusta, Maine. We had 35 amazing entires, but this one really spoke to us!

Vendor space is going fast for the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Machias Wild Blueberry Festival. The Bangor Savings Bank lot is already full. We only have about 35% of our spaces left. I have just heard from my amazing webpage person that we are up and running again. She has worked tirelessly to get this straightened out! Let's hope it holds! The Machias Wild Blueberry Festival website still has some glitches, particularly with vendor applications. We have temporarily taken down the vendor application, but please check back tomorrow. My sincerest apologies! Sometimes technology is a pain in the butt! I will post again when we think things are back to normal. Thank you for your patience.
