With both sadness and gratitude, we announce that Singing in the Hills in Mabie, WV, has come to an end.
For 52 years, the hills of Mabie have echoed with the sounds of gospel music, worship, laughter, fellowship, and countless memories. What began more than five decades ago through the Wiseman family became a cherished tradition for generations of families, singers, musicians, churches, and gospel music lovers.
For 52 years, people gathered together to lift their voices, celebrate their faith, encourage one another, and share the message of Jesus Christ through song.
To every singer who took the platform, every musician who shared their talent, every volunteer who gave their time, every church and sponsor who supported the event —thank you. You helped make Singing in the Hills a beautiful and lasting part of West Virginia’s gospel music heritage.
To everyone who ever sat under the pavilion, stood on the grounds, sang along, wiped away a tear, clapped your hands, or simply came to listen—you are part of the story. Thank you for the fellowship. Thank you for the friendship.
