A big thank you to the for generously donating the use of their property to host Ride For Mo for the third year in a row!

This year, the Wildflower has also offered a weekend special for Ride For Mo participants: if you want to stay in the Kingdom all weekend, riders can book Friday night at the Inn and get Saturday night free! Details for this deal can be found in the notes on the BikeReg event.

If you’re signed up and haven’t planned housing yet, recruit some friends and book your stay at the Wildflower! We still have about 50 spots to fill to hit our capacity 😊.

The Moriah Wilson Foundation is proud to support Vermont Youth Cycling, a non-profit that is actively expanding access for Vermont youth to experience the physical, emotional, and social benefits of cycling. VTYC hosts five youth races each year throughout Vermont, two general skill clinics, and a technical and mental health skills clinic for 25 girls and non-binary athletes, instructed by pro rider Kelly Catale.

On a beautiful fall day in October of last year, we were fortunate enough to be present at the VTYC race on the Kingdom Trails in Moriah’s hometown of East Burke, VT. Witnessing so many young athletes having fun pushing themselves out on the course was moving. It was an extra special moment when we got to award Moriah’s favorite necklace - a golden mountain range - to the winner of the women’s race.

Rachel Cohen, the executive director at VTYC, says it seems “that every race brings more and more friendly faces asking ‘What can I do to help?’ This is the essence of VTYC: community, stewardship, and care for one another. I leave each race more and more confident that this next generation will carry these values forward as they shape the Vermont cycling community for themselves.”

Our grant helped VTYC keep their costs for participation low for Vermonters while expanding their programming. We are thrilled to see the great work VTYC is doing for the sport of cycling in Vermont, and are excited to see what the future holds!

What a great day we had on Saturday! Luckily the weather held out and made for an amazing ride around the Northeast Kingdom. It was a day full of smiles, laughter, connection, and community.

Thank you to all the riders for coming out to support Moriah’s foundation, and all the volunteers, sponsors, and local businesses for making it happen once again. We couldn’t do this without you!

On May 11th, the Ukiah-Mendo Gravel epic - the fourth and final round of the in California - will celebrate the life and legacy of Mo by designating the Moriah Wilson foundation as it’s charity partner for the event.

Riders will have many opportunities to learn more about the foundation and its mission, and contribute through a raffle, photo print sale, buying a Ride For Mo hat, or making a direct donation.

We’re so grateful that the organizers of the Grasshopper series have chosen to partner with us and we’re thrilled that riders on both ends of the country have the chance to honor Mo on the memorial of her death.

The second annual Ride For Mo fundraiser will open for registration this Saturday, February 17th, at 9:00 AM EST!

Last year, 250 riders gathered on a beautiful spring day in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont to ride bikes in memory of Moriah. Thanks to the generous support from numerous businesses, brands, and volunteers, we raised over $20,000 for Kingdom Kids, a local organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through outdoor adventure.

The newly established Moriah Wilson Foundation will be the beneficiary of this year’s event. Our mission is to promote healthy living and community building by supporting organizations dedicated to expanding access to recreation, sports, and educational programs. Learn more at moriahwilsonfoundation.org.

The event will take place at the Wildflower on Saturday, May 11th. We’ll be raffling off a Specialized XC mountain bike at the post ride gathering for the second year in a row.

Mark your calendars and register through the link in our bio. We hope to see you there!

The new website for the officially formed Moriah Wilson Foundation is live! Click the link in our bio to check it out.

The mission of the Moriah Wilson Foundation is to promote healthy living and community building by supporting organizations dedicated to expanding access to recreation, sport, and educational programs.

We want to do what Moriah didn’t have the chance to do. What she once had said about cycling, we now say about sustaining her legacy and impact in our community: “We can’t not do this!”

In a post Covid world, the value of community has become clear. Moriah saw relationships as a driver of change; interdependence as a salve in a culture of hyper-individualism.

We want to inspire and help as many people in our community live active, healthy, and connected lives.

“What do I value? What do I stand for? What gets me out of bed in the morning? What sort of mark do I want to leave on this world?”

Yesterday was a beautiful and joyful day in the Kingdom.

We’d like to thank everyone who rode, volunteered, donated, and helped behind the scenes for making today what it was. You are loved and appreciated more than you know.

Moriah was with us out there all day.

If there’s anything to take away from yesterday, we’d like it to be this:
“If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person.”
- Fred Rogers

Lets leave good things with other people every day. And today, don’t forget to show your mother that you love her.
