One of my favorite books in the development of my practice was The Spiral Dance by Starhawk, which I felt was a very accurate depiction of how energy and magic works. I think this is germane to our conversations about using magic and communities for resilience and resistance. 
If we are going to reclaim our democracy, improve it, and create a world rooted in justice and devoted to regenerating the environmental and social ecosystems around us, we need more than good intentions and outrage. We need a strategy. A strategy is a plan of action, or rather, an orchestrated series of actions designed to move people emotionally and activate them politically. I’ve been creating rituals and ceremonies for more than half a century, and oddly enough, that’s actually taught me a lot about strategy! Here’s what I’ve learned.
