Decorating hack: Repeat one element 3 times.

Instead of trying to decorate every inch of the room, choose one element from your theme—a color, flower, ribbon, greenery, seashell, etc.—and repeat it in at least three places: the backdrop, tables, and food/gift area.

It’s one of the easiest ways to make separate decorating areas feel like one intentional design—without buying a ton more décor.

Small detail. BIG difference. That’s a little Magnolia Magic. 🤍

From a first-time Mahjong to an incredible Heavenly Hand—last night had it all! 🀄️✨

The tiles were clicking, the Mahjongs were plentiful, and the room was filled with laughter and excitement. There is nothing better than watching a new player experience that first winning hand—or seeing a player land one we’ll be talking about for a long time!

What a fun night around the tables at last night. Thank you to everyone who came to play and made it so special! 🤍

Hey friends! I am praying everyone is ok! We have power at Magnolia Lane (not at home) and I am opening it up to anyone who wants to come hang out today, have a cup of coffee or tea, have a place to charge your devices, do work(if you have a hotspot- our internet is out), and I brought a ton of games down here, plus I’ll set up some mahjong tables!

I have a few snacks but that is it. Main Street Cafe is open and I do have a fridge and small microwave if you want to bring your own food. I plan to be here all day until about 6.

You don’t have to build it all today.

An hour here.
Twenty minutes there.
One phone call.

One more step forward.

Magnolia Lane wasn’t built in a day either. It has been built little by little, lesson by lesson, event by event, and with a whole lot of prayer along the way.

So this week, use what you have. Do what you can. And trust God with the rest. 🤍

Want to know one of the best event-planning tips I saw in action yesterday? Bring your people AND have a plan.

When this family first arrived, I walked through and saw one person beginning to set up the tables.

I stepped away for just a few minutes.

When I came back out, I was shocked! There were probably 10 people working! 😂🙌

And I mean WORKING. Someone was handling tables, someone was decorating, food was being set out, the drink station was coming together, gifts were being arranged…and before I knew it, the entire room had been transformed into an adorable under-the-sea baby shower. 🐳🐚🌊

It was such a good reminder that hosting an event does not have to fall on one person.

Have your plan before you arrive. Know what needs to go where. Bring those helping hands. Divide up the jobs. And then let people help you.

Because 10 people working for 20 minutes can accomplish what one overwhelmed hostess might spend hours trying to do alone.

And the result? Just look at all these sweet details! 💙 From the sea creatures and ocean blues to the food, games, cupcakes and that adorable balloon garland, this family brought their vision to life.

That’s Magnolia Magic in action—not because everything has to be elaborate, but because a good plan + a great crew can make all the difference. 🤍

Our first shower of TWO at Magnolia Lane today was just the sweetest! ❤️

I absolutely love seeing a theme carried through all the little details, and these ladies did such a precious job with this one. From the red gingham backdrop and apple-filled centerpieces to the coordinating food table, Carmel apples, plates, napkins and that adorable cake — everything tied together without feeling overdone.

And can we talk about that backdrop?! 🍎 The reds, creams and soft greens against our wood wall were SO pretty!

This is exactly what I love about showers at Magnolia Lane. You bring your people, your personality and your vision, and our little space becomes something completely different every single time. 🤍

One beautiful baby shower down…now it’s time to flip Magnolia Lane and get ready to celebrate another sweet mama-to-be! 🥰

Two showers. One Saturday. A whole lot of memories being made. 🤍
