It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of "The Handgun" Daniel King.

On behalf of South Plains Championship Wrestling, we want to extend our deepest condolences to Daniel's family, friends, and the countless fans and wrestlers whose lives he touched throughout his career.

For me personally, I can still remember attending my very first live independent wrestling show as a 16 year old fan in my hometown of Brownfield, Texas and watching Daniel King perform in my school gym. His character work made me believe in pro wrestling again that night. In many ways, seeing him perform helped inspire me to begin pursuing my own journey behind the curtain.

Through the years, every interaction I had with Dan was met with kindness, respect, and professionalism. His legacy will live on through the memories he created and the people he inspired.

Rest In Peace, Daniel King.

Due to the high potential for severe weather across the South Plains this Saturday, South Plains Championship Wrestling has made the difficult decision to postpone Crowning Point III.

The safety of our fans, wrestlers, staff, and everyone involved is our top priority. With the conditions expected, we believe this is the right call to ensure everyone stays safe.

We are actively working on securing a new date and will provide updates as soon as that information becomes available. We fully intend to bring this event back to Brownfield when the opportunity allows.
