The 2019 proceeds went towards replacing the wall mats in the gym!! Thank you to everyone that sponsored and participated in our 2nd annual run! Be on the lookout for the 2020 Rebel Run information!!🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️

2019 Rebel Run!!

Scenes from the Rebel Run held Saturday, March 30 in Lowndesboro to benefit the Lowndes Academy Building Fund and a book sale held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lowndesboro to benefit the Alabama Room at the Hayneville/Lowndes Public Library. There was also a Kids Dirt Road Dah 1-mile Fun Run.
The Alabama Room, sponsored by the Lowndesboro Heritage Society, makes it easier for folks to research their family histories. The library has all of the microfilm rolls from the Alabama Achieves and History Research Room in Montgomery, including deeds, wills, probate records… anything that would have been in the probate office for Lowndes County before the year 1900. Also, thanks to the Alabama Public Library Service, all libraries in the state now have access to ancestry.com on their computers at no cost to the individuals doing the research.
