Slant Culture Theatre Festival

Slant Culture Theatre Festival The Slant Culture Theatre Festival presented by Walden Theatre makes it's third appearance November

In biology a “slant culture” is when a test tube is tilted to maximize the area for growth. Walden Theatre created the Slant Culture Series 5 years ago to challenge its teenage actors to play rich characters their own age, encouraging them to seek inspiration from a new angle – inward. Three years ago Walden Theatre expanded the series into the Slant Culture Theatre Festival, a cooperative venture

between Walden and four Louisville theatre companies - Theatre [502], The Savage Rose, Le Petomane, and Louisville Improvisors. Slant Culture seeks to expand the horizons of theater and performance audiences by featuring their familiar favorite artists along side companies, projects, and modalities they’ve perhaps never experienced before. The Festival will take place at Walden Theatre on Payne Street. Slant Culture will use Walden’s main stage as well as a new Alt Space on the 2nd floor. There will also be music and concessions in the lobby throughout the Festival. Along with showcase pieces from the 5 producing companies, Slant Culture is inviting other artists and artistic organizations from around Louisville to take a slot and expand the edge of audience consciousness this fall. Lots of exciting work over at Louisville Fringe Festival. Have you checked it out?

I think I love this picture of me performing at ReSurfaced for Slant a couple years back. Gotta get that coat out.
