This is the Official World's Championship Horse Show page that will keep you updated on the latest news related to the richest and most prestigious American Saddlebred, Roadster and Hackney show. Over 2,000 entries will compete for the titles of World's Champion, World's Champion of Champions and World's Grand Champion during the Kentucky State Fair held each year in August.

Doug Shiflet—equine legend, familiar face, friend to many, and official photographer for the World’s Championship Horse Show for 48 years.

For 48 years, Doug has stood in center ring as the official photographer of the World’s Championship Horse Show, capturing champion after champion and creating countless memories along the way.

Photography has changed tremendously throughout those 48 years, and Doug has evolved right along with it while remaining one of the very best equine photographers in the industry. From developing film in a darkroom and waiting to see what was captured, to today’s world where photographs can be viewed almost instantly, one thing has never changed—Doug’s dedication to capturing the moments that mean so much and preserving them for generations to enjoy.

As Doug closed out his final Louisville, we simply say thank you. Thank you to Doug and his wife, Deb, for 48 years of dedication to the World’s Championship Horse Show and the people who make it so special. For the photographs, the dances, the laughs, the friendships, and a lifetime of memories—we are forever grateful. 🌹📸

Barbara Goodman Manilow and Something Blue brought home the roses and tricolor for the second year in a row! After claiming the title in 2025, this beautiful team returned to Freedom Hall to do it again—crowned the 2026 Ladies Five-Gaited World’s Champion of Champions! 🌹✨

What a horse, and what a class! 🌹🏆

As always, the World’s Championship Horse Show came to an unforgettable close with the Five-Gaited World’s Grand Championship. After an incredible 12-horse class and a six-horse workout, Susan Swope and CH Midd’s Delaney rose to the top to claim the title! ✨

The victory marks back-to-back World’s Grand Championship titles for Susan and an incredible third consecutive title for Delaney! 🏆🏆🏆

Congratulations to Susan and the entire West Wind Stables team on this remarkable accomplishment and an unforgettable finish to the 2026 WCHS! 🌹✨
