This SUX!! Support your local bike shop if you can!
Please bear with me as this is a bit of a double whammy if you will. As you are likely aware, at 5:05 am, Monday Sept 1, a certain disgruntled individual decided the bike shop, or maybe just myself, should be tasked with spending thousands of dollars that was not previously needed at 5:04 am. Not ideal, but not the end of the world. We will survive. Coupled with the fact that another seemingly crazed, orange individual 600 miles away has thrown the country into a spiral of uncertainty and sometimes peril, we're hurting.
We are a toy store to most people, and this is not lost me. However, bicycles and their accompanying parts have already started price increases due to tariffs, and Specialized, our biggest supplier of bicycles, has major increases coming this Friday, and Marin is doing the same in the coming weeks. Anything we have in stock will remain the price we intended to sell it as, but the incoming order price differences are too great for us to eat, and in turn, we will have to follow along with most MSRP's to be practical.
So, what I'm really getting at is, it's a damn good week to buy a bike! Thank you for your time, and especially for the opportunity to continually serve Louisville's bicycle community.
