What a special day at The English Barn! šŸ¤ ( love the photo Sue)

Today we had the honor of welcoming Sue and the wonderful people behind My Power of One to the venue for a very special photoshoot.

Sue is an award-winning filmmaker with a true heart of gold, and the work she does to encourage others to recognize their worth, strength and ability to make a difference is incredibly inspiring.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, friendship, beautiful photos and an even greater purpose. Together, they also collected donations and pet food for Dirt Road Rescue ā€” and sweet Snowy even joined in on the celebration! šŸ¾šŸ¤

Paul and I were so happy to open the doors of The English Barn and provide a beautiful place for this group to gather, celebrate and support such a meaningful cause.

Rain on a wedding day has long symbolized blessings, renewal and a marriage made to last. A wet knot is harder to untieā€”making ā€œtying the knotā€ in the rain just a little more special.

And these two? They didnā€™t let a little weather stop them. They stepped outside and danced in it. šŸ¤

Apparently, itā€™s just a little hard to leave The English Barn. šŸ¤
Sarah got married here in May 2025, and she loved her experience so much that when her wedding was overā€¦she decided she wasnā€™t quite ready to leave us!
She wanted to come back, work alongside our team, and help other brides through the same planning experience she had enjoyed so much.
And we are so glad she did.
Having been an English Barn bride herself, Sarah understands exactly what our couples are experiencingā€”from all the excitement and decisions during planning to finally seeing everything come together on the wedding day.
She has been such a wonderful addition to our team and, even more importantly, such a wonderful support to our couples.
Thereā€™s something pretty special about watching one of our own brides come back through the doors as part of our planning team.
