Our hearts are heavy. Charlie Kirk was a man of faith, devoted to his family and his convictions, and he did not deserve what happened to him. No matter how deeply we disagree or what side of politics we stand on, those disagreements never make another person’s life any less valuable.

Violence solves nothing it only leaves families broken. His children will grow up without their father to guide them, never able to feel his embrace or hear his words of love again. His wife now faces the immense burden of raising them alone, carrying both her grief and her strength.

Today isn’t about politics. It’s about empathy. It’s about recognizing that compassion must never be conditional. None of us wants to mourn a parent, a child, or a friend taken too soon.

So tonight, let us set aside the bitterness. Let us send healing hearts, prayers, and whatever light we can offer to Charlie Kirk, his young children, and his wife. And let us recommit ourselves to safeguarding life and decency, even in the midst of our differences.
