The dust hasn’t even settled yet, and honestly, neither have our emotions. 🥹🤎
What happened on August 29th was bigger and more beautiful than we could have imagined.
What started as a vision to create a space where our locs, our natural hair, our culture, our creativity and OUR people could be celebrated came to life right before our eyes.
And what a beautiful sight it was. 🥹
To every single person who bought a ticket, traveled to be there, shared a post, told a friend, showed up, danced, laughed, shopped, cheered, performed, created and celebrated with us, THANK YOU.
To our vendors, stylists, models, artists, DJs, hosts, creators, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and everyone who poured something into this day, THANK YOU. You each played a part in making this experience what it was.
To our sponsors and partners who believed in the vision and chose to stand behind what we were building, THANK YOU. Your support meant more to us than you know.
And then there was the moment we looked around and really took it all in.
The beautiful faces. The locs. The crowns. The laughter. The dancing. The love. The energy. The COMMUNITY.
That’s when it really hit us.
This was our FIRST festival. Our very first one. And you all showed up for L.A. Loc & Crown in a way we will never forget.
We’re still taking it all in. Still reading your messages. Still watching the videos. Still smiling. Still getting emotional thinking about what we created together.
And if there’s one thing we hope someone takes away from this…When you have a vision, GO FOR IT. Trust what was placed on your heart. Believe in it even before anyone else can see it. Put the work behind it. Execute it.
From the deepest place in our hearts, thank you for believing in this vision and for making our very first L.A. Loc & Crown something we will carry with us forever.
We did this together.
