We're honored that our production, Ruman Kazi's stage directorial debut, is mentioned alongside these productions from long-standing and well-decorated theatre companies! Congratulations to all!
And I love that the favorite play that I saw all year made it as their cover image! "Failure: A Love Story" by Coeurage Theatre Company was a gem.
"I received renewal and catharsis all over town. Alex Fernandez’s The Homecoming at Pacific Resident Theatre; Mary Jo DuPrey’s August: Osage County at Theatricum Botanicum; Ruman Kazi’s Our Lady of 121st Street at the Victory: big, strong shows." - Jason Rohrer, Bitter Lemons. We at ZDP have been quiet on the theatre front as we wait out the Equity lawsuit, but it has given us an opportunity to focus on developing our filmmaking talents. Here you can see the entry from our sister company, Zubber Dust Films into the L.A. 48 Hour Film Project - Holiday Edition. Also directed by Kazi, the film was nominated for 12 awards (including Best Director, Writing, Lead Actor, and Acting Ensemble), placed 2nd Runner Up for Best Film, and won for Best Cinematography and Best Sound Design: https://vimeo.com/147957432
