MEET OUR RESIDENT DJ AND FOUNDER OF VICE UNDERGROUND FLABBERGAST

Flabbergast is an LA-based DJ, producer, and performance artist making unapologetic, rhythmic, and euphoric dance music rooted in tribal house and techno of 90s Miami. A drag performer turned selector, they've built three of the city's most vital q***r underground parties and released their debut single on Berlin-based label DESSERT. Every room they play is a place where q***r expression, fluid identity, and sexual freedom get celebrated, not legislated.

Their story moves fast: in 2025, veteran DJ Heidi Lawden pulled Flabbergast onto the mic at EDC Las Vegas, sparking a vow to learn to DJ, produce an original track, and launch an event series within one year. They returned the following season as an official EDC performer on the decks at Queen Bar with all three boxes checked. The mentorship came full circle on their debut single "Children of the Revolution," a collaboration with Lawden and a defiant, euphoric rallying cry for a community under pressure.

Their parties form the backbone of q***r nightlife in LA: Vice Underground, a raw rave den bridging subterranean techno and classic house; Cumunity, a five-hour B2B residency with Josh Peace at Silverlake staple Akbar; and The BAD Party at Precinct, a sanctuary for the performers who break the mainstream mold. With new music on the horizon and all three parties growing, the dancefloor was never the destination. It's the vehicle.

DJing in a castle in full drag—to an intimate room of people right after a pop star performs—is a feeling that just can’t be replicated. The room is electric with energy, and it’s easily one of my favorite dance floors to play because almost everyone stays until the very last song. My style as a DJ is all about playing in the moment and taking people on a journey that matches the magic of the night,” FLABBERGAST says.
