With even less Cebuano instructors crossing the pacific to share the art of Eskrima to the United States, we are honored to host Celestino “Tinni” Macachor to top off the first quarter of 2024 with his first ever West Coast USA Tour. The co-author of the renowned “Cebuano Eskrima: Beyond the Myth” brings his art of Estokada De Campo (EDC), a distillation and rationalization of the techniques of Decampo 1-2-3 Orihinal and Eskrima De Campo JDC-IO to the forefront of stick fighting. A constant staple to the instructor list at the Russian House in the Philippines Training Camp, Mang Tinni as he is affectionately called, definitely has something to offer in this new era of eskrima. The centerpiece of the training methodology is mobile striking accuracy drills, full contact sparring with light protection under safe supervision, and resistance training to develop explosive speed. Formally launched in 2018, after more than a ten year hiatus from teaching eskrima. This is strictly a stick fighting art that focuses on largo mano.
