BLOOM - INTERACTIVE ART INSTALLATION

Get ready for something truly special! An incredible interactive art experience that transforms strangers into collaborators and individual pieces into collective magic.

**WHAT IS BLOOM?** Originally designed for the London Olympics by and , BLOOM is a crowdsourced architectural garden where strangers create something beautiful together using colorful plastic game pieces.

HOW IT WORKS - Each 16-inch cell has three connection points linking pieces in endless configurations. Build structures reaching over 11 feet high! Create benches, tables, forts, or let your imagination run wild.

THE MAGIC OF COLLABORATION - No strict rules, just guidelines. The installation constantly evolves as participants add pieces, take them away, and transform structures throughout the day.

COLLECTIVE CREATIVITY - Individual pieces can’t do anything alone - it’s only when thousands come together that the BLOOM garden emerges. It’s collective imagination, discovery, and play.

THAI MEX COCINA - Family-run business founded by Mexican husband and Thai wife who share love of cooking since 2016. Thai and Mexican fusion with original recipes, featuring dishes like chicken satay, spicy garlic shrimp, and traditional Mexican options like carne asada and al pastor.

CERDA VEGA TACOS - Lorenzo and Daniel have been cooking for family and friends for over 20 years, specializing in high-end Mexican cuisine with a focus on Guadalajara-style birria. Their signature birria is crafted from special recipes passed down through generations.

For over two decades, TARFEST has been celebrating LA’s cultural diversity, and this year’s musical lineup is stacked. We’re talking about a carefully curated experience that showcases everything that makes our city’s sound so unique.

AZUL AMARAL - The creative force behind Grand Performances’ most attended season ever. As the former Program Manager of Gloria Molina Grand Park, Azul created the framework for multicultural programming that brought us the largest west coast NYE and 4th of July celebrations. His DJ sets run the gamut from Afro Latino dance tracks to hip-house club beats.

GARTH TRINIDAD - The award-winning culture critic and modern griot who helped shape LA’s music landscape during his 25-year run at KCRW. With clients like Apple, Nike, and HBO, he’s been a tastemaker in the truest sense.

CHROMEQUEEN (JÉLI DANIEL) - Founder of the all-female Red Light Vinyl collective and curator of live KCHUNG Radio broadcasts. She’s been spinning everywhere from MOCA to Grammy Museum events, and her work with local nonprofits shows music’s power to unite communities.

KG SUPERSTAR - “THE VOICE OF A GREAT TIME” bringing infectious Caribbean energy straight from Barbados to LA. This global performer has rocked stages from Vegas to London’s Miss World pageant, specializing in reggae, house, Afrobeats, and more.

ALBERTO LÓPEZ - Musician and producer who runs his own music production house and independent vinyl pressing plant, BELÚ MUSIC PRESS. He’s worked on projects that have received Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and Juno nominations, collaborating with artists like LCD Soundsystem, Ruben Blades, and Celia Cruz.

DAYREN SANTAMARIA - Cuban-born violinist turned bandleader bringing authentic Latin rhythms with some of LA’s finest musicians. Born to a professional musician father and actress mother in Matanzas, Cuba, music has been her calling since age 8.

Meet TARFEST musical performer Garth Trinidad!

Garth Trinidad is a modern day griot - award winning DJ and culture critic, credited in part with shaping LA’s modern music landscape by way of prolific radio programming and event production, discerned music supervision and consulting, and pointed music journalism.He lists Apple, Nike, Sony, and HBO as clients, has been featured in Vanity Fair, Wallpaper, The Source, and Rolling Stone, and appeared on ABC, KTLA, KCET, and The History Channel. Garth recently stepped away from his 25 year post as a DJ and radio personality at NPR affiliate KCRW 89.9fm in Santa Monica to enjoy an extended vacation and pursue new creative projects.

Kavione Griffith aka KG SuperStar, THE VOICE OF A GREAT TIME, was born in Barbados. This this emcee / dj brings the rhythmic, vibrant pulse of the Caribbean to everything he does. KG, moved to New York as a teen where he was exposed to the industry’s finest musicians and performers many of which he has worked with today. His extensive traveling and passion for music has shaped his extraordinary capacity to connect with people. Live, Love and Feel good vibes, are the explosive ingredients that KG brings wherever he goes. His infectious high energy rocks venues and events all over the world. KG unites people from all walks of life, an expert in delivering feel good vibes by his promotion and celebration of culture and diversity. KG Superstar has a distinct ability to instinctively know what will be hot in the club, he knows what to say and play and with a style That makes you feel loved. KG is also a creative DJ producer, specializing in several genres of music, including Reggae, house, Afro beats , hip-hop, R&B, and Amapiano He has rocked venues from Las Vegas to Barbados, Germany and New York, to China japan Malta Germany and London where he did the miss world pageant. His current residency & creation is in Los Angeles, a new rooftop open air day party experience called UTOPIA at The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood.

Meet TARFEST musical performer Chromequeen!

DJ, curator of sound, vinyl vixen and founder of all-female vinyl collective, Red Light Vinyl, Jéli Daniel wears many hats — curating live KCHUNG Radio broadcasts from the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, to activations with the Grammy Museum, Clean Living Magazine, 1Hotel and Salesforce. Red Light Vinyl works with businesses to better service the community’s entertainment needs, such as serving sounds for campaign parties like that of former female runner of city council Aura Vasquez, to local nonprofits such as S.P.Y (safe place for youth), an organization empowering young people experiencing homelessness to thrive through providing community, and housing solutions that address racial + social inequality.

Meet percussionist extraordinaire, producer, and TARFEST performer Alberto López!

Musician/producer Alberto López runs a music production house and independent vinyl pressing plant. Many projects he has worked on have received praise from DJs and taste makers around world in addition to Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and Juno awards and/or nominations as well Platinum and Gold certification in various markets around the world. Always aiming to help shape unique creations, working with artists such as LCD Soundsystem, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Ruben Blades, Celia Cruz, Extra Ancestral, just to name a very few, Alberto views genres as starting points of connection, not necessarily rules to abide by. These days Alberto is concentrating mainly on recording, producing and running BELÚ MUSIC PRESS, a boutique vinyl pressing plant in the great city of Monrovia, California.
