Whether a person aspires to become a dancer or not, dance training offers people far more than physical grace; it builds foundational life skills, cognitive abilities, and emotional well-being.

The LWDT School provides holistic, dance training that shapes the whole person, building mental and physical resilience and encourages independent expression.

The transforms students into dynamic, versatile dancers while cultivating critical thinkers. Our comprehensive training integrates deep technical foundations across multiple genres with the philosophies of trailblazing artists, empowering young people to own their voices, practice accountability, and express themselves creatively both on and off the stage.

LWDT Students are immersed in a wide variety of genres—including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, West African, and Caribbean dance. In addition to Ms. Lula’s style and approach to technique, there is a core focus on the foundational techniques of four legendary pioneers: Katherine Dunham, Lester Horton, Martha Graham and Jose Limon

We believe young people should know the names and works of the visionaries who created pathways and opportunities through dance. By reading about, discussing, and practicing the masterworks of these individuals, students learn to appreciate the vision, dedication, and grit required to make artistic, (or any), dreams a reality.
