El 18º Hola México Film Festival, presentado por Toyota, comienza con "Loco México Mágico", la nueva comedia del director Carlos Santos.

¿Qué podría salir mal cuando un alcalde decide convertir Alvarado, Veracruz, en un destino turístico… haciendo una película al estilo Hollywood? Con poco presupuesto, cero experiencia y un camarógrafo de quinceañeras convertido en director, todo el pueblo tendrá que unirse para lograr lo imposible. 🇲🇽

Carlos Santos regresa a Hola México después de presentar "Chilangolandia" y "Señora Influencer" en ediciones anteriores del festival. ¡Estamos felices de recibirlo nuevamente para celebrar esta historia llena de humor, comunidad y mucho ingenio mexicano!

The 18th edition of the Hola México Film Festival, presented by Toyota, opens with "Loco México Mágico" (Crazy Magical Mexico), the new comedy from director Carlos Santos.

What could possibly go wrong when a mayor decides to turn Alvarado, Veracruz, into a tourist destinationby making a Hollywood-style movie? With very little money, absolutely no experience and a quinceañera videographer suddenly promoted to director, the entire town must come together to accomplish the impossible.

Santos returns to Hola México after previously presenting "Chilangolandia" and "Señora Influencer" at the festival. We can’t wait to welcome him back for a celebration filled with comedy, community and unmistakable Mexican ingenuity! 🇲🇽

Every year we invite a Mexican artist to create a piece that captures the spirit of Hola México, and this year’s artwork by Joaco is absolutely stunning. From the eagle transformed into film strips to the surreal symbolism inspired by Mexico and California, it’s a beautiful reminder that cinema connects us across borders, generations, and cultures.
