Registration for the Prokofiev competition in North America is now officially open! Inquiries are welcome^_^
The Prokofiev International Music Competition was established in 1991 by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great composer Prokofiev. It is an important international music competition in Russia. Due to its wide influence and professional standards, numerous musicians from around the world have risen to prominence through this competition. In 1997, the competition became a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions. In 2002, the competition received support and sponsorship from UNESCO. In 2012, it became an international competition encouraged by the Chinese Ministry of Culture. To date, the competition has received support and recognition from over 80 higher education institutions of art worldwide, as well as from the cultural departments of China and Russia
