"CALL MY AGENT! THE MOVIE", the last opus of the International Hit series opens tomorrow (September 9) on Netflix! *** The film will brings the beloved French hit to the big screen for a final reunion event. Set five years after the series finale, the film follows Andréa Martel (Camille Cottin), who has left the ruthless world of talent agencies behind to pursue her long-held dream of becoming a film director. Just days before shooting begins on her directorial debut, disaster strikes when her lead actor abruptly drops out. With her film on the brink of collapse, Andréa has no choice but to return to her past and reunite the former team of the ASK talent agency. What follows is a chaotic and heartfelt reunion filled with old rivalries, rekindled friendships, and the professional crises that once defined them. Staying true to the spirit of the series, the film also features major international celebrities playing exaggerated versions of themselves including George Clooney. In the tradition of "CALL MY AGENT!", "CALL MY AGENT! THE MOVIE" is envisioned as a feature-length farewell.

What does it take to capture real life on camera? 🎥

Director Anissa Bonnefont and producer Myriam Weil joined TAFFF in 2025 for the North American Premiere of La Scala: The Force of Destiny, a documentary offering a rare look behind the scenes of Milan's legendary opera house.

In this , Bonnefont reflects on the unique perspective of a documentary filmmaker: observing like a "little mouse," seeing through the eyes of the audience, and gradually building characters around what each person is willing to reveal and share with the camera.

🎬 30 Years of TAFFF | DGA Spotlight

To celebrate TAFFF's 30th anniversary, we're proud to spotlight Directors Guild of America members who have helped create unforgettable conversations between filmmakers and audiences over the years.

We begin with Taylor Hackford -
Academy Award-winning director of “An Officer and a Gentleman”, “Ray”, and “The Devil's Advocate”; former President of the Directors Guild of America (2009–2013); and a valued member of the Board of the Franco-American Cultural Fund, the organization behind .

A passionate advocate for filmmakers and creative storytelling, Taylor has been a longtime friend of the Festival and a familiar presence at TAFFF, leading engaging conversations with acclaimed French and international talent. His appearances have included Q&As with Jacques Audiard for “Emilia Pérez” (2024 Opening Film), Jean-Jacques Annaud for “Notre-Dame on Fire” (2022 Opening Film), and Richard Linklater, Guillaume Marbeck, and Zoey Deutch following the Centerpiece screening of “Nouvelle Vague” at the 2025 Festival, among many others.

Who better to tell the stories of a generation than the people living them? 🎬

French director Martin Jauvat joined TAFFF in 2025 to present the U.S. Premiere of his second feature, "Baise-en-ville".

In this , he reflects on the rare opportunity to make films about people his own age and capture the realities of a generation in their 20s from the inside. A self-taught filmmaker and lifelong film buff who never attended film school, Jauvat also shares how his unconventional path into the industry has helped shape his voice-and why truly connecting with younger audiences remains a challenge for filmmakers.

Celebrating 30 Years of Partnership and Cinema 🎬✨

As the American French Film Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary (November 3-8, 2026, at the DGA Theater Complex in Hollywood), we're also celebrating one of the partnerships that has helped shape the Festival since its very beginning.

TAFFF is presented by the Franco-American Cultural Fund (FACF), a unique collaboration founded in 1996 by four leading organizations from the French and American film industries: the Directors Guild of America (DGA), the Motion Picture Association (MPA), France’s Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music (SACEM), and the Writers Guild of America West (WGAW).

Created to foster cultural exchange between France and the United States, the Fund celebrates French cinema through screenings, conversations, and special events that bring filmmakers and audiences together.

For nearly three decades, the DGA has been a valued partner in that mission, opening its doors to the Festival, championing it within its community, and creating opportunities for French and American filmmakers to meet, exchange ideas, and celebrate cinema together. Admission is complimentary for DGA members.
In the coming weeks, we'll be celebrating some of the remarkable DGA members who have helped make that partnership so special.
Here's to 30 years of celebrating French cinema, and the people and partnerships that continue to bring it to life.

🏆 American Students Award
Since 2017, the American French Film Festival, in partnership with ELMA - European Languages & Movies in America and with the support of the American Association of Teachers of French, has presented the American Students Award.
Each year, participants in our High School Screenings program discover a selection of acclaimed French films and vote for the one that resonates with them most.
Past recipients include “Nouvelle Vague”, “The Count of Monte Cristo”, “Rise”, “The Summit of the Gods”, …. films that have introduced a new generation of audiences to the richness, creativity, and diversity of French cinema.
