🎬 FILM SPOTLIGHT: IN SELF EMBRACE

We’re honored to welcome In Self Embrace, directed by Iranian filmmaker Zahra Mohsenzadeh, to the OUR PRIDE Shorts Fest.

Mahtab is a deaf transgender woman arriving for long-awaited gender-affirming surgery. But as the Taliban advances across Afghanistan, her partner Matin is forced into an impossible choice between the person he loves and his family.

A deeply intimate story about love, identity, family, belonging—and learning to hold ourselves.

Something new is taking shape at OUR PRIDE.

**KOHR — Know Our [human] Rights.**

A new project exploring the Universal Declaration of Human Rights through a simple question:

**Do we really know our rights?**

We’re beginning to build a place where people can learn about their rights, understand them, and discover how they connect to the lives we live every day.

More soon.

In November, OUR PRIDE Shorts & Arts Fest brings filmmakers and creators together from across the world.

From Uganda to India to Indonesia, these are stories that challenge silence, celebrate identity, and remind us that human rights are lived through real human lives.

Amsterdam wasn’t the end. The conversations continue.

During WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, Voices of Solidarity brought together artists, filmmakers, historians, researchers, and community voices from around the world.

It was an evening of film, poetry, storytelling, music, history, and conversation—and a reminder that solidarity can begin simply by listening to one another.

Now the stories continue through the OUR PRIDE Global Hub and Voices of Solidarity.

Partly thanks to a collaboration with the Empowerment Fund of the Pride Amsterdam foundation, we can produce our 2nd annual WorldPride Voices of Solidarity event. The fund offers financial support to projects that contribute to the emancipation and inclusivity of the community.

The Empowerment Fund was set up to ensure that everyone within the LGBTQIA+ community has a voice and can contribute to Pride Amsterdam. It specifically focuses on initiatives that otherwise would not be able to take place. This further emphasizes and stimulates diversity within Pride.

A Step Toward Liberation — IDAHOBIT 2026 in Los Angeles

On May 17, we gather at Founders MCC to unveil the Steps to Liberation — a permanent rainbow arts installation and a public act of courage by the co-creator of the original rainbow flag, Lynn Segerblom "Mother of the Rainbow Flag."

From the early Pride marches of the 1960s to today, the steps continue.

This is not just an unveiling.
It’s a reminder that visibility still matters.
That dignity is not negotiable.
That freedom is something we practice — together.

If freedom requires courage,
