The Hickory (NC) varsity football team has a neutral playoff game vs. Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC) on Friday, December 8 @ 7p.
This game is a part of the "2023 NCHSAA Football Championships - 3A" tournament.

HICKORY – Hickory High School proudly announces its outstanding achievement as it advances to the State Championship in football. The team has demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the season, earning a well-deserved spot in this prestigious competition.
Under Coach Joe Glass's guidance, the football team has displayed remarkable teamwork and dedication, showcasing the true spirit of Hickory High. Their journey to the State Championship is a testament to the countless hours of practice, hard work, and perseverance the athletes and coaching staff put forth.
The Hickory High School community rallies behind our football team as they prepare to represent us at the State Championship. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the players, coaches, and supporters who have contributed to this remarkable achievement.
The State Championship event is scheduled for Friday, December 8th, at Keenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, NC. Hickory High School encourages the community to join us in cheering for our football team as they aim for victory and proudly carry the Hickory High banner to new heights.
Hickory High School invites the community to a public event on Friday, December 8th, at 9 AM at the Hickory High gymnasium to celebrate the football team's achievement. A send-off will follow.

Hickory High School Football State Championship Information
The game will be played at Keenan Stadium, which is 104 Stadium Drive, Chapel Hill 27514
The game will begin promptly at 7 pm
Cost of tickets is $15.00
Tickets can be purchased online at GoFan or the gate. However, cash is not accepted, only credit cards
Parking is available at Jackson & Craige Parking Deck.
Parking is $15.00, and only cards are accepted.
Gates open at 6 pm
All Hickory fans must enter through Gate 6 at Keenan Stadium
This is considered Hickory’s side
Gate 6 is the main entrance on the South Side, which is the Carolina Side
All Hickory Fans will sit on the South Side (Carolina Side)
Once you enter the game, should you leave, you will not be allowed back in
Only clear bags will be allowed into the stadium
No outside food or drink is allowed
Absolutely no face or body paint is allowed
Shirts must be worn at all times
Following the conclusion of play, there will be absolutely no spectators allowed on the playing field without proper field access credentials
UNC-Chapel Hill is a smoke-free campus
Children who are 5 years of age and under get into the game free of charge.
Only NCHSAA passes are accepted
The game will be televised-more information TBD
The game will also be shown on the NFHS Network; however, you need a subscription to view the game on this platform.
There will be a community event/send-off this Friday for all of Hickory to attend in the Hickory High School gymnasium at 9 am.
