We are shocked at the tragic loss of Duncan Sheik, singer/songwriter and composer. Thank you for your contributions to the world. Your music is truly a gift.
His biggest stage success came with the powerful show, Spring Awakening.
The PPA recently performed one of his works: “Alice By Heart”, but did you know that in 2014 we were one of the first theatre companies to produce his lesser known work, “Whisper House”?
Duncan also came to Pinewood to perform two special benefit concerts for our PPA Scholarship fund. One smaller, intimate house concert, and a larger performance in our own Upper Campus theater.
Duncan also invited some of our students to perform with him at his concert at Yoshi’s in the City that same weekend.
We are so grateful that Duncan and his music are a part of the Pinewood story. And we are proud that Pinewood can be a small part of his story as well.
Peace and Love to all of his family, friends and fans!
