SVVSD Early Childhood Department We offer District families a preschool experience designed to enhance kindergarten readiness Discovery Preschool and Grandview Elementary.

Preschool programs are currently available in area neighborhood elementary schools in Longmont, Niwot, Lyons, Mead, and Erie. In the Carbon Valley area (Frederick, Firestone, and Dacono) preschool children will go to Spark!

The letter K is keeping preschoolers busy at Soaring Heights Elementary this week! During small-group lessons, students are building letter recognition and sound skills through hands-on activities, including play dough letter smashing, driving along letter roads, and naming and sounding out objects that begin with the "k" sound.

Students in Ms. Esther’s class sign in outside by answering the question, then explore their responses during circle time while practicing graphing, counting and number recognition. Buddy reading and a conversation about the helper of the day also give students opportunities to build connections and learn about responsibility in their classroom community!
