✨Artist Spotlight ✨

Rita Huie is our newest summer resident at House of Cellista. Her specialties are trapeze and aerial chains. The goal of her artist residency is to deeper explore the realms of the mind and mental health, showing this through performing arts.

Rita grew up on a farm in Georgia, and she primarily was self trained. In 2019 she attended The New England Center for Circus Arts Professional Track Program for three years, graduating in 2022. After graduating, she performed as a showgirl and dancer in Las Vegas, Nevada. She then traveled to Montreal, Canada to train with the world renowned coach Victor Fomine. In 2024 she toured with a circus in Canada. This year she is excited to present works of art with the deep theme of mental health.

Sparkle Cirque is just around the corner! Join us for a night of magic with aerial performances from Rita Huie, aerial cello from Cellista, and a presentation on the science of fireworks from biochemist Cheyenne Rose, and a very special performance from visiting aerialist Cassie Catania! 💕

Sparkle Cirque takes place in the backyard of House of Cellista on July 4th at 7:34PM.
Bring something to grill, a tasty beverage, and something cushy to sit on. All ages. Free.

Please welcome our new resident artists, Rita & Cheyenne to House of Cellista!

Rita Huie is a stunning and dynamic trapeze artist who will be performing and curating shows all Summer at the HoC. Cheyenne Rose is a biochemist who will create integrative presentations on circus and science!

Join them at 7:34pm on July 4th for their first artistic offering Sparkle Cirque! Backyard circus at House of Cellista! feat. aerial performers, including Cassie Catania, and aerial cello by Cellista and a presentation on the science of fireworks by Cheyenne!

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM HOUSE OF CELLISTA

House of Cellista is proud to welcome two new artists-in-residence for the summer season: Rita and Cheyenne. Their collaborative residency marks a bold exploration of the space between circus and science—where fantasy, rigor, and performance collide.

Rita is a static trapeze and aerial chains artist who creates transportive, emotionally charged work that invites all audiences into a shared dreamscape. A graduate of NECCA’s ProTrack Program, her practice is rooted in accessibility and wonder.

Cheyenne holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Utah Tech University. With experience in both research and teaching, she brings a sharp, creative perspective to how we understand and communicate science.

Their first public offering, Sparkle Cirque, takes place July 4th at House of Cellista. This salon-style performance features special guest artist Cassie Catania, whose aerial work adds another layer of brilliance to the evening. Cassie will also be offering professional massage services during the event by donation.

Sparkle Cirque is the first of many events to come from this residency. Join us as we begin a summer of experimentation, conversation, and genre-defying performance.
