The Wax Museum is a completely volunteer operated and supported Music Venue and Art Space that is entirely in existence due to happenstance. Through sheer luck and dumbfounded yearning we have in our hands one of the biggest resources the up and coming can ask for, space. We have here, a place to give back to Musicians and Artists, because they are who we believe in, and their work is WHAT we believe in.

So we have been wildly searching for a place to throw a show for the past two months and in return received no emails, no phone calls back, or much help. As a DIY venue this was a little upsetting to us. BUT, maybe you guys can help. I'm frantically searching for a place to throw a show Friday in the greater LA area for two touring bands that are in need of a spot to play. If you have a house or a garage or know of another venue that can help us out please let us know! We would appreciate it very much. Netherfriends and Chipper Jones!

Dear Wax Museum supporters, volunteers, show goers and bands. I know a lot of rumors have been going around that we are shut down, we are here to tell you that that is not the case. We are forcefully being told to take a hiatus due to troubles with the owner of the property Wax Museum is located on. The issue goes a little deeper than just a forceful "cease and desists" but we find the better solution is to just stop shows/relocate all shows for June. We are currently in the works of getting a brand new space and will be back up and running very,very soon. This has come very sudden for the creators of The Wax Museum and we couldn't apologize more for the inconvenience that this has created. The last thing we want you guys to think is that we'd just give up after wrongfully being kicked out of the current location. We immediately started looking for new places and like we said, we will be back up and running in no time. We are looking to relocate every show till the end of the month and are still booking for July. This obviously has put a slight hold on everything but we are trying our best. We appreciate all your support and hope to see you very soon at the new Wax Museum.

All you guys know we have every day for the rest of June booked, but at this moment we need more places to throw shows. If you all can pull together resources and offer up your garage, your friends garage, your backyard, your house, a venue, a bookstore, a warehouse, anything, please let us know. We need your ideas to help us out for the month of June. Thanks everyone who has supported Wax Museum so far, you are all amazing. Let's keep this train rolling! THANK YOU

Do to unforeseen complications with the owner of the space we lease tonight's show is canceled. We will hopefully have no more interruptions in our schedule for the future. We apologize for the total bummer but it is completely out of our control. Thank you.

We have a few things to say to all your wonderful people. The first thing is, please do not freak out if your email does not get replied to right away! We have a few backed up emails that will all be answered in order very very soon. Also if you're inquiring about booking a show YOU HAVE TO SEND IT VIA EMAIL TO [email protected]. We will not book any shows via Facebook. And also we are looking for a volunteer who knows how to do sound that has very open availability. You would get into any show you are doing sound at for free. If that sounds like you shoots us a message here of via email. Either one is fine with us!
