This weekend offers a wonderful chance for our community to come together in support of a worthy cause. This weekend will be a fundraiser for the gentlemen affected by the recent explosion at the Ardmore refinery. On Saturday, temperatures are expected to reach 81 degrees, come one come all to attend and participate in the activities! These will include a silent auction - for which we are still collecting donation items. The event will also feature a 35ft Rocket2Space Slide that will be set up dry, obstacle courses, plus more inflatables and bounce houses for children to enjoy, with wristbands priced at just $5! Hot dog and hamburger meals will be sold for $6. All proceeds from the event will be donated directly to the families of the affected individuals. We extend our sincerest sympathies to the friends and family of Jesse and the families affected by this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. We are seeking partnerships with organizations or businesses to co-host a fundraising event for the five men injured in the fire. The event will include family-friendly activities with inflatables on 23 acres of land and a donation drive. Donations will be collected and counted during the event, and the total amount raised will be announced live at the fundraiser. As someone with a personal connection to the oil refinery industry and a young 8 month old son , I am particularly passionate about supporting this cause.
