Miss Laurel County Homecoming Pageant Director: Chelsea Philpot It has been a Laurel County tradition to gather at the Levi Jackson State Park Amphitheater for this event for the past 80 years.

The Miss & Teen Laurel County Homecoming Pageant is held during the Laurel County Homecoming , one of longest running events in the state of Kentucky.

March 1st symbolizes the beginning of Autoimmune Disease Awareness Month 🩵

Nearly 8% of Americans live with an Autoimmune Condition, 75% - 85% of those cases are women. The goal of my pageant platform “Flawless in Flare” is to raise awareness for many different autoimmune conditions such as Celiac Disease and Psoriasis. There are between 80 and 100 known autoimmune diseases affecting so many lives today. Most autoimmune conditions are lifelong and require chronic management and care. In addition, many of these conditions are difficult to diagnose properly. Living with Celiac Disease and Psoriasis myself, I understand the uncertainty and anxiety that comes with finding a proper diagnosis and managing chronic illness. My hope is to continue to raise awareness for autoimmune diseases, celebrate the wonderful people of this community this month and share my own personal experience with being diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2025!
