My mother’s relationship with her mom was strained, to say the least, and breaking that cycle — to become the kind mother she’d needed — was everything to her.
Her wish for me was that I would love and lean into motherhood as much as she knew she would. So, devout Catholic that she was, she named me Monica after the patron saint of mothers.
She died before had my first baby, and in the absence of her wisdom and guidance, I searched for connections and information as I found my way as a new mom. This led me to start a group for other new moms, and the friendships I made and the stories we shared inspired me to found Babies & Bumps.
We’ve spent the past thirteen years helping others as they begin their own parenting journeys, and it’s been the honor of my life. I like to think that with every mom, baby, and family we help, my mother’s love is shining through and living on.
Today, I celebrate…
🌸 each and every one of you,
🌸 my daughter who dreams of being a mother someday,
🌸 my mother-in-law and grandmother who raised the men in my life whose endless support helps make B&B possible,
🌸 and my mother, who instilled in me the desire to make the world a better place and the grit to make it happen.
Thank you for letting B&B play a role in your parenting journey! Whether you were one of our very first attendees or you plan to join us for the first time this season, I’m forever grateful for your trust and support!!
Happy Mother’s Day 🌺
