Hey Facebook followers! It's been a while since we've posted due to the BIG MOVE into our temporary space! Amazing things are lined up for our theatre department in the coming months! Tomorrow, (Friday, May 19th at 6:30 pm in the LHS cafeteria) is our end of the year Theatre Banquet murder mystery! Come as a character and find out who the murderer is... it might even be YOU! Also, congratulations to all who have auditioned for our Production class for the next school year! Our classroom will be completed at the end of July, and our new Performing Arts Center will be completed in September! We look forward to having you help us break in the new space with great people and amazing theatre! Gooooooo Lions!

Calling all LHS students, parents, alumni, past and present staff, family and friends: Don't miss our award winning performance of Paganini today at Dripping Springs High School at 4:00 pm, or come to our LAST and FINAL production ever to be performed on our high school cafetorium stage, this Sunday at 7:00 pm. The LHS Theatre Department is reaching out to our awesome community! We are in search of a few items for our high school theatre department’s UIL competition show. We compete in mid-March and are looking for a few props/set pieces to help tie our show together before we go and compete against other high schools all over Texas! Our show is called Paganini, by Don Nigro. The play is about a famous violinist in the late 1700s. We have approximately 20 students involved in the production, and any assistance can help in a big way! Below are some items that we are in search for. Please message me if you might have an item you would be willing to let us borrow or have. Pictures also help! Thank you Lockhart family!
Instruments:
Large Gong
Ass’ Jaw
Triangle
Cymbals
Any interesting percussions

Costumes:
Gorilla
Bear
Jack in the Box
Leather apron
Any dresses/suits from the 1700s-1800s

Items/Set Pieces:
Wine barrels
Old chests
Baby bassinet
Wooden cart/wheelbarrow
Old wooden school desk
Wooden 6-8 ft. ladders

Exciting things are happening for the LHS Drama Club! We have successfully finished our fall show, The Calamityville Terror, and we are about to announce the UIL One-act play for this school year! If you would like to know what show we are doing for one-act, as well as finding out about our "Snowflake Pageant" coming up in December, then you won't want to miss our OPEN MIC NIGHT this Wednesday, November 16th after school. Stay tuned for fun events heading your way!

The Calamityville Terror is going up this Saturday and next, October 29 and November 5 at 7:00 pm in the LHS cafetorium! Tickets are $5. You won't want to miss this dark comedy! Bring your friends! Also, the LHS Drama Club will be doing $3 face painting on Halloween! Stop by the LHS cafetorium from 4:30-6 pm to get your face painted for trick or treating! Thanks so much for your support!

Congratulations to our new DRAMA CLUB officers! Drama Club is every Wednesday after school in the LHS cafetorium. This week we've discussed Open Mic Night, Halloween face painting, and November bake sales! Lots going on so we hope you can join us! More information posted soon.
