Honoring Blues Royalty: Queen Sylvia Embry Burton
Before she was Queen Sylvia, she was a girl in Wabbaseka, Arkansas, teaching herself piano because nobody would teach her. Her grandmother wanted gospel. Sylvia wanted Chuck Berry. She got both, and she never let go of either one.
She was a true trailblazer as a woman, bassist, and vocalist. A true Arkansas Original from Wabbaseka, Arkansas.
