Little Mountain Reunion

Little Mountain Reunion South Carolina's Oldest Folk Festival Little Mountain Reunion began in 1882 as a Newberry College Reunion. The Reunion was started again in 1976.

It was held every year until the beginning of World War II. It is now held every year on the first Saturday of August. The Little Mountain Reunion serves as a community gathering where old friendships are renewed and new ones are made.

We are sad to share that the Little Mountain Reunion will be taking a break in 2026. This was such a tough call for us. We love this community and everything about the Reunion. We know many of you look forward to it every year. Normally by this time we would be well into planning, but with no completion date for the renovations at Reunion Park we felt it was best to go ahead and make the decision now. This will give our vendors, volunteers, and everyone involved time to plan ahead.

We’ve also been listening to suggestions from the community about possibly moving the Reunion out of the August heat. We agree, and think it will be more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone in the spring of the year.

Thank you for always showing up, supporting us, and loving this tradition. We’re already looking forward to getting everyone back together at a new and improved Reunion Park in May 2027.

THE PARADE LINEUP WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE NEWBERRY OBSERVER WEDNESDAY, JULY 30th, AND ON THE LITTLE MOUNTAIN REUNION FACEBOOK PAGE AND ON THE TOWN OF LITTLE MOUNTAIN WEBSITE ON THURSDAY, JULY 31st. A MEMBER OF THE REUNION STAFF WILL BE AVAILABLE ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO BE IN LINE BY 9 AM. THE PARADE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 9:30 AM ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 2nd.

*HWY 76 WILL CLOSE PROMPTLY AT 8:30AM TO LOCAL TRAFFIC UNTIL AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE PARADE*
