Our next judge is Brook Hendrickx, she will be judging our sheep, meat goats and swine shows. We are excited to have you!

Brooke grew up on a diversified livestock operation near New York Mills Minnesota, where they raised sheep, pigs, small grains, and operate a custom livestock manufacturing business. She grew up showing registered Columbia, Corriedale and Rambouillet sheep, and Duroc pigs.

Brooke continued her education at South Dakota State University, where she studied Agricultural Leadership. While at State she was the High Placings Individual, and a part of her wool judging team’s 3rd Overall finish at the National Western Stock Show.

Brooke currently works for First Dakota National Bank and spends her spare time volunteering with many livestock shows like The Summit Livestock Show, All American Junior Sheep Show, South Dakota Summer Spotlight, and the Aksarben Stock Show.

We are excited to have Cody Williams as our North Point Series Beef Judge this year.

We own and operate “Stenberg Herefords”, a 4th generation registered Hereford operation located in Colman SD. We offer high end show heifers and steers, as well as a select group of bulls every spring. Our most recent accomplishment was raising the reserve horned female at the 2025 Hereford Junior Nationals.

The judging part is twofold:
1) Breeding season has always been one of my favorite times of the year, evaluating our cattle and seeing their good traits but then finding the things that could be made better and picking out the bulls we thought could make those changes for the next generation. I’d give my parents my reasons for why I thought this bull or that bull would work and we’d make our decisions.

2) When I moved back to South Dakota and started taking over the operation I decided early on that I wanted our juniors to have something more than just a show animal, we needed to provide them a support system, for learning and character building. So we really focused on not just making the cattle better but coaching our juniors to be better people as well. We travel to as many shows as we can with our juniors to help them clip and fit, showmanship tips, and moral support.

I truly enjoy judging livestock, but I love being able to coach kids and help shape the next generation of livestock professionals.
