Thunder on the Hill - Forest City's Truck vs Tractor Pull

There was no Thunder on the Hill event in 2024, in part because of some scheduling issues and in part because of safety. Over the last couple of winters we have had some meetings with other promoters talking about rules and safety, ultimately I wanted everyone to wheelie bars, a lot of promoters agreed, but there was some push back.

Ultimately, this will be the reason that I'm not interested in putting this event on in the future. I'm not going to sign my name on an insurance policy when there's a refusal to put safety equipment on.

In no way am I trying to personally attack the people or events that are in the pictures that I have attached to this post, I'm just using it as a visual reference. It can happen at any speed, in any weight class. I would love to put the pull on again, but I think we need to do our best to protect ourselves and the sport.

Thank you to everyone that made Sunday possible. We would name names but we know we would forget someone. Hopefully you all know how much we truly appreciate you taking time out of your Sunday of a holiday weekend to come play tractors with us all. Great turnout with beautiful weather. It was a perfect day for a tractor pull.

We were talking during the after party that this all started with Butch. We sure hope he's enjoying this and wish he was here to see it.

Who's ready for some pulling action this weekend?

Notes for Sunday...
- Everyone must come in the entrance on MN 24 into the Threshing grounds.
- Pullers will park along that straight in or right hand side as tightly as possible so we can get everyone pulling in that area.
- Spectators will go to the left to park. Make sure to park responsibly and don't block any roadways or access points.
- $10 per car/family. You can fit as many people in that car as you want and everyone will get a wristband but they must all fit in 1 car.
- Food Stand - Grove City Fire Department Fundraiser will be grilling up some great food again. Thank you to Carlson's in Grove City for sponsoring.
- Beer Garden - Riverside Tavern will be serving beer and limited other beverages starting at noon.
- Registration will be open by 10am Sunday. They will be located by the entrance on the left hand side. Once registrations are complete we will move to by the announcer stand for results and trophy disbursement.
- Pullers please park and then walk up to the registration table.
- Pullers receive 1 wristband per paid pull. If they are giving one of their wristbands to someone else that person must be present at the registration table when signing up.
- Pullers must be at the Meeting at 11:45am at the Announcers Stand or have made arrangements with Adam or Daryl PRIOR to Sunday
- Heads up the Cell reception is less than ideal in some spots so make sure you plan accordingly

Preregistration will be open until Saturday Night and then after that you will have to stand in line for registration.

Pulling starts at NOON sharp!

Pullers meeting at 11:45am at the announcers stand. IF YOU ARE PULLING YOU MUST BE AT THE MEETING or have made arrangements with Adam 320-221-3000 or Daryl 320-894-0189.

1st 3 classes on each track will be pulled from registration table during pulling meeting make sure you are signed up and ready to line up prior to meeting.
